Q: How do I request a quotation? A: You can telephone, e-mail, fax or mail your request. Please be sure to include the following if available:
• Your name • Your address • Your telephone number • Your e-mail address • Your fax number
• Location of the well • Estimated depth • How the water will be used (i.e. single/multiple household(s), livestock, commercial, etc.)
Q: Does your quoted price include everything? A: Yes. There will be no "surprises" from us. Several people have told us they
used one of our competitors because he quoted a lower price, only to find "extra" charges on the final bill that were not mentioned in the quote. The result... they paid a higher price than we quoted. Be sure to ask for a quotation covering all charges!
Q: Do I need a permit from the state? A: Yes. Click on this link to the NM State Water Engineers website. After you search around for a while, you will find the permit application form. It is a PDF file so you can print it, fill it out and send in the required three (3) copies along with your $5 filing fee. The instructions for filling out the form are on page 3 of the form.
Q: Do I need to do anything special so you can set up your drill? A: Possibly. The rig is very heavy and has a large turning radius. If the site is on the side of a mountain, you may have to have a road cut and/or level a pad for the drill. Also, there must not be overhead power lines that the derrick might hit.
Obviously, there should be no pipes or cables beneath the surface at the well site. Be sure to accurately describe the site when you request a quotation. If in doubt, ask the driller to go visit the site well in advance of the time you need the well drilled. Making the site accessible may require considerable time so be careful to avoid a delay.
